BRIEF HISTORY OF RHEMA

Rhema Worship Centre is one of the newest Worship Centres of the Church of Pentecost in the Madina Area. It is located at Acheampong Junction, behind East Legon Melcom Branch. It was inaugurated as a Worship Center on the 10th of August 2019 under the administration of the then Area Head, Apostle Anthony Ahalivor, with its resident minister as Prof. Ovr. Joseph Osafo.

Rhema Worship Centre began as Rhema Assembly in the year 2003 under the East Legon District. It was carved out of Peniel Assembly by the then Pastor Osei- Wusu and his wife, now retired. Other gallant men of God, along with some women of God, have served as Presiding Elders and Leaders of the Church, gradually growing it into its current state. Some of the pioneering Elders include the late Elder Henry Kuofie, Elder (now Pastor) Paul Zikpui Mawufienya, and others.  The current Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye was one of Pastors that tended the Church, making it what it is today. He served as District Pastor of the East Legon District in the year 2005.

The Church has many ministries and Committees whose individual roles help the church to function as the body of Christ that it is. The ministries include Evangelism Ministry, Prayer

The Church currently has a membership of about 566 adults and 128 children, and still records new members every week.

The Vision of the Church is in accordance with the Vision of the Church of Pentecost International. We also hope to become an International Worship Centre in the next few years.
